Week 13

Not good, not good. Of course I knew this would be the case this morning but I am still disappointed. Only one workout this last week and towards the end I started eating just about anything around.

This is one of those times that are sooo important. These are the transition weeks. Will it be a transition back into the right path or will I fall completely off the wagon and start over again? We'll see.

Rick vs Brad 12

So it looks like Brad decided to step up a bit this week. Figures he'd do this the same week I slipped on workouts. Punk. Oh well, there is always next week. Measurements are posted to:

Week 12

Well the week is up and even though I didn't work out much at all, I still lost a small amount. The only problem is that it was probably muscle and not fat. My body fat went up which goes along with that thought. This just goes to show that weight MEANS NOTHING. I wish I could get this across to more people but it's tough. Body composition is what matters so I'm actually disappointed in my job this week even though I lost some weight. I'll do better next week. I really can't wait til school is done and I can focus more on other things but we'll continue on making progress still each week even if it's small. Every step forward is much better than big steps back.

The measurements have been posted to http://runyanfitness.com and I'll put up the Rick vs Brad results when I get Brad's measurements.

Where's my focus???

I don't know what it is but I've lost focus this week over the last couple days. I had a great leg workout on Monday but nothing since. I felt sick on Tuesday and not 100% percent until today but even today my energy is low. I have a ton of school work I need to catch up on and work has been busy but still there is no excuse.

I need to find some energy to get a good workout in tonight and keep up tomorrow and Saturday so that this week isn't a waste.

Also I've eaten some junk but not too bad. Haven't had a bunch of beers with a large pizza yet. :) Need to focus.

Week 11 measurements

Measurements have been posted to the site and I've also made some changes trying to get all references to runfatboyrunyan out and put runyanfitness in. Let me know if you see any other runfatboys in there as I'm trying to update the site. I will be adding some more content to the site in a few months when I'm out of school and have time again.

Still waiting on Brad to update the Rick vs Brad page but I'll post here when that happens.

Week 11

So what happened here? First a little background info:

For the last 5 weeks or so, I've been stuck around this 240 lb mark and haven't lost any inches either. This was starting to really upset me and I was going to workout an insane amount last week just to see if I could finally break this barrier. I decided against it and instead went with a solid Body for Life workout. This meant 2 upper body workouts and one lower body workout along with 3 days of cardio. This is the same workout I lost 70+ pounds with back in 2001. I did everything perfect but gained 0.4 pounds and my inches were the exact same.

Now the question is here again, what to do for next week? It is very hard to stay motivated and follow a program when you do everything right but still not make progress. I hate the fact that I've gained so much weight though and I will never go back to that way of living. So surprisingly my motivation is not low as it probably should be after this. I am going to destroy this 240 and never look back. The question is...how?

Do I stick with BFL and give it another week? Or do I go back to the workouts I've done in the past with cardio and lifting every day?
